The rumour machine has now been set in motion…..;)

I believe archaeologists now want to test the remains of the two boys Richard III evidently bumped off as potential future rivals to the throne, but that HM The Queen isn’t keen because she fears that it will set a precedent and that many of her deceased forebears will ultimately get dug up as historians try to shed light on strange past goings on.
I wouldn’t be so disrespectful to suggest who the first candidates might be.

I did think that the most riveting item was the Hon. Sec. of the Richard Third Society standing in front of an empty car bay with a relatively full car park all around her and pointing at the ground which had a large, white painted letter R on it underneath which, they found the remains ! Spooky or what !
She was a bit of a “drama queen”.
A reasonable programme, but I would have like to have seen more of the archaeology, and less of the talking.
It was a 40minute programme padded out to 90 minutes.
I don’t think anyone is going to question their conclusions, but I did find that everything fitted together rather too well.

I’m not much interested in foreign kings but this was a fascinating tale of Richard Crookback.

It seems there was no box at all, and the hole was much too small for a man of his size, even with the spinal curvature. They said there were 10 injuries or defects to the skull.
I was in Leicester for a few days when this dig was going on (but unaware) and I find it amazing to think I was so close to this site. An amazing story, can’t wait to hear the rest. Well done!

I know it’ll get more people watching Ch4 tonight, but I wish they could have
held this back until after the programme had aired. :diablo:
