Will the XL 738 be in XL colours or sunwing colours ?
By: NCLflying24 - 23rd March 2008 at 17:26
Newcastle
I think I posted earlier on in the thread, the NCL charter programme or atleast what airlines would be operating, but here it is again:
As said before, 2 TOM 757, 1 TOM 738 and the 763 will only pass through Sat to Mon to op SFB, PUJ and CUN (via MAN).
2 TCX 757 operating up to 35 weekly flights.
MON A330 operating weekly SFB and fortnightly CUN and POP.
1 XLA/Sunwing 738
Other operators include:
Freebird 320 (BJV/DLM); Eurocypria 738 (PFO/LCA/HER); Air Transat 310 (YYZ); Onur Air AB6/320/321/M88 (DLM/BJV/AYT/ADB); Iberworld 320 (LPA); BH Air 320 (BOJ/VAR); Austrian CRJ (INN); BMI 319 (VCE); Viking M83 (HER); BlueAirWeb/Air BEE M83 (NAP).
Based jet2 757 will also operate 2 charters per week to RHO and CFU.
There is a reduction on last year – but hopefully not for long!

NCL Thomson Based aircraft are as follows for the summer 2008 season.
1 737-300 or a 737-800
2 757-200s
A 767 is going to be used on the Long Haul routes but it WONT be based at NCL.
TCX is going to be 2 757-200s
XL is going to be a Leased Boeing 737-800
Monarch useing A330-200 for the Orlando and Puerto Plata.
Air Malta are coming in once a week i think useing the A320
Onur Air have a huge Program at NCL this summer could be useing the A300, A321 and the MD80.

I’m not too sure. http://www.newcastleairport.com/NR/rdonlyres/F10CA022-68CF-4200-A201-FF19DBB04364/0/TOGS08Ed4.pdf
That all seems right to me …

What is Newcastle summer 2008 timetable.
The airport website version is a bit non updated.
By: heslop01 - 22nd March 2008 at 23:06
I think NCL will have 3/4 TOM? – Don’t quote me on that, only becuase usually they have 3? 1 737 and 2 757? Only this summer there will be a 767 for the new long hauls?
TCX I think only have the usual 2 752?
By: airchabum - 19th March 2008 at 13:12

Some flights will be 738 and some 739

Saturdays always seem to be the busieset time for LBA in the Summer Season.
I dont understand why they have swaped the RHO flight around it was great doing the morning/aft rotation. Now i think more people will head over the pennines to catch a morning flight becasue they are put off by a Red Eye Flight

Moderator’s Warning
Tommy,
I have warned you on a previous occasion not to make any more of these “what time will my plane take off and what colour will the pilot’s eyes be?” postings.
Do NOT post any more like this! 😡
Final warning, made in public because you seem to take no notice of PMs.

Thanks LBARULES for the update regarding the Saturday morning Ibiza service.
I didn’t realise that Thomson Holidays had changed it again. It was originally to be operated by Air Europa but was change to Thomsonfly in January. Now after just checking your info it looks like you right that Thommos have yet again changed the operator to a second Saturday visiting Spanair.
I’ll change the above info, to show the spanair service.
By: LBARULES - 17th March 2008 at 14:04
A couple of small corrections for your list, Ross. The Thomsonfly Ibiza on a Saturday is actually been operated by Spanair, and I am almost certain the Air Southwest Jersey has been canned with the company that ran those flights instead taking allocations on the Jet2 service.

Rumour has it that DUB will have 2 based ZB aircraft this summer! We normally get a A300 based Thursday-Sunday.
Ive also heard that they will have a rather big long haul programme from DUB this summer.
By: LBARULES - 17th March 2008 at 11:29
Not 100% certain, I think Iberworld may have, though as far as I know, Balkan are still going into LBA.
Quite sad at LBA this summer, we are getting more Onur Air flights a week (5) than Thomsonfly flights (3)!
By: LBA-EGNM - 16th March 2008 at 20:03
Does any one know if Balkan and Iberworld have actually canned LBA?

It’s actually covering for the late delivery of the two B739’s
