Spent most of the flying display at the gate to ARCo at the M11 end . Despite the cloud playing havoc with lighting, the rain held off and it was quite warm. As has already been stated by others, was not impressed with the 9 Spitfire opening, being a bit slow and pedestrian in pace unlike the 4 ship P-51s which were fast, low, noisy and dynamic. A very good show I thought and it was nice to see the A-26/B-25, the B-17s and Dakota being thrown around the sky like fighters. Caught the TFC Gladiator and P-40 in the air for the first time and just need to catch the Mk XVIII Spitfire airborne for the hat trick. Well done to everyone involved for an excellent display and day out and to top it all I had 4 photos published in the programme.

Wonderful atmospheric photography
I’ve been amazed by the quality of photo’s some folks produced at the weekend, but these are the best I’ve come across. Marvelous formation pix which almost look air to air. Lovely atmospheric shots of the re-enactors, but I think my favourite is the Mitchell/Invader cross over.
I shan’t bother posting my own happy-snappy efforts now!

The airman in front of the Cat is my fave. Timeless.
