Following on from this & slight subject change, I received a DVD from the U.S this morning, On The Threshold Of Space 1956 film in colour charting the Dr’s in the U.S Air Force doing rocket sled rides & high altitude parachute jumps, pretty good film, shame they don’t release it officially!!!

According to his spokesman he reached 833mph – Mach 1.24, so he has smashed through the sound barrier and gone even further. Congratulations and serious respect to the guy.
