Sunderland air show

Is anybody going to the Sunderland air show this year? I’ll be going down to Teesside on the Saturday where most of the movements will be taking place, on Sunday I am going to NCL to see the Red Arrows as they still come to Newcastle and not Teesside.

But if you are only really into commercial aviation, I can understand why this probably doesn’t appeal to EAL_KING and myself.

Same here, but I like to go to the local airports to see the movements.

Great that the event is put on for free every year.

But if you are only really into commercial aviation, I can understand why this probably doesn’t appeal to EAL_KING and myself.

EAL, that’s a good 3-4 hours of flying. And it doesn’t cost you a penny.

And to answer your other point, it’s nothing like RIAT. RIAT is a military extravaganza with air forces from around the world sending aircraft. Sunderland is a small seaside show with afew military participants and some civilain acts.
