A very enjoyable show even if the star attractions were a no go. I’ll get to see the DC-6 fly yet. At least the weather men got it right. The wet front passed through by mid morning and there was blue sky and sunshine but it did cloud over and get dark later on but at least the rain held off. Never thought I would get to see an Optica fly, it’s on my scale drawing ‘To Do’ list, and was well impressed with it.
First proper use of the Sony Alpha 350 at an airshow. Not sure if it was me or the camera, but the keep rate of flying shots seems to be much better than with the Alpha 100. The P-51 is a very heavy crop, just to see what it would come out like.
