Sunny Weekend at Southend

Just had a good weekend at Southend, with almost nonstop sun. Only gripe is that the light can be a bit harsh at this tie of year – but some decent movements anyway….

The weekly Volotea from Palma – wearing the slightly different tail livery:

A Malmo Aviation RJ100 returning from engine runs in rather harsh light. Nice livery nonetheless…

Good old HZ-SKI has returned again and departed to Malaga this afternoon:

Backtracking Runway 06 – making an excellent sound!

Another very smart executive airliner departed yesterday after a very quick 24 hour maintenance stay – N737ER. A very elaborate tail livery – very nice…

And the livery is completely different on the other side – why only have one design?

Not sure which side I prefer – both are very nice… The aircraft in question holds the record for the longest 737 flight – when it flew for over 14 hours between Seattle and Jeddah.

And to finish, the next Malmo RJ100 arriving from Malmo for maintenance…

And thanks to the UKBA, a shot of it being towed from the FBO to the hangar…

As always I hope these are of interest! Not a bad set for a weekend.

Thanks rab5869, Alan, Culpano and by738 – was pleased with the biz 737 – hasn’t been at SEN for 9 years! The Malmo RJs will be on their way out soon – they nwill be replaced by the C series – so a few more years yet fortunately. Very pleased to have the Volotea 717 – although the flight will be operated by more conventional equipment next year – a Jetairfly 737….

Didn’t realise the Volotea was a weekly flight. Love that bizjet 737. Excellent.
