The RAF Northolt Evening Photoshoot XXIVa was held on what turned out to be the hottest April day since 1949 with a temperature of 27.9C recorded at Northolt and 28.3C in St James’s Park in central London. With the evening looking clear-ish and the promise of a good sunset, I decided not to photograph anything under floodlights and just go for a sunset photo shoot instead. There was very little wind so traffic exhaust pollution was a bit on the high side and as the sun approached the horizon, it shone through the pollution haze turning the skyline several shades of orange, yellow and pink.
