Anyone flown Air Transat recently? A week on Saturday I’m flying LGW-YVR and returning to GLA ten days later. I’ve heard various reports on Transat, most of them less than complimentary. I’m desperately hoping someone on this forum will say they have the comfiest seats, tastiest meals, hotest hosties etc. However, nine abreast in steerage class, no PTVs and French Canadian flight attendants make me wonder if we should have paid a bit more and gone BA
Spoke to the captain of the same flight a couple of weeks ago – the EET was 9hrs 21mins. So, assuming we don’t make any unscheduled stops in the Azores 😮 we will be spending quite a while as guests of the airline…

My Gran was from Montreal and she was quite a nice lady, actually……. 😎
I’ve nothing against French Canadains actually. Spent a thoroughly enjoyable holiday in Quebec last year. It is just that those in the service industry can, I’m told, be a bit like their French cousins. I will only be too happy if I’m proved wrong. 😉

Have to agree with everything you say. Flew FRA – YHZ a couple of weeks ago, fortunately only a six hour flight, so bearable. One or two of the hosties are worth looking at a second time, searchez la femme.
Fuel problem, could ask to check the gauges but maybe not your most tactful approach. Fortunately had to change to a Condor flight for the return, what a world of difference to the positive.
