Project PK519 is with propeller.
I am indebted to Tempest Guru Christer Landberg who not only spotted some Mk XIX propeller blades for sale but purchased the last matching five on my behalf and packed them individually and committed them to the Swedish/British postal system. Sincere thanks Christer.
It would seem that the sellers father was able to acquire some fifty odd blades when the Swedish Mk XIX’s were being scrapped. They will not fly again but after washing and removing 60 odd years of accumulated grime they are in surprisingly good condition and perfect for the project at this time.

Well spotted Sopwith and essential reading for the aeroplane builder

Work starts on my new Spitfire airframe with suprise suprise a frame. Frame 5 is where the wing spar joins the aeroplane just in front of the engine bearers. This one is made from MDF from the full size drawings that I have collected over the years. Here is one of the other frame plans for frame 8

Thanks dylan9391 for posting the pictures of your project. I see in the 3rd one that there’s an interesting bit of reading material on the trailer.

A few photos of my Spitfire. As you can see in this one I am working on the wing although the wing has now been completed. If anybody is interested I can always post the odd photo of the parts for the new one as I didn’t take constructional photos of my first aeroplane.

Is that your project aeroplane behind the propellors? It looks very good indeed. I’ve nearly finished one Spitfire and about to start on my second a Mk16
Any chance you can post some pictures on here for us to see please?

Very nice find; did they (Sweden) use the mkIX?
Only the Mk XIX, I’m afraid.
I will look out for IX blades for you.
