Am I right in thinking that the Swedish historic flights Invader is up for sale or has already been sold ?, if so who to and where has it gone.

[updated:LAST EDITED ON 28-01-02 AT 08:26 PM (GMT)]I don’t think the A-26 is up for sale, its a popular aircraft for airshows and the SHF love the aircraft, but I could be wrong.
I read in FP that the aircraft were based at Weald for last year’s airshow season. The Vampire and Hunter have since gone back to Europe from what I hear but not so sure about their A26 and P51.

RE: Swedish Invader
gee what a shame. The 2 invaders and 2 B25s at Legends were terrific.
What about their other warbirds?

RE: Swedish Invader
I know its Sugarland Express of the SHF, and i’m sure that part of the reason she was based at North Weald in recent times was to attract a buyer. In fact i think it was a member of Flypast staff who told me that at the Photoday/fly-in.I knew the Dutch example was going stateside and i think thats why they were both at legends last year as there may shortly have no longer been an example in Europe.

The Dutch example,’Hard To Get’,went to the US,but I’ve not heard whether she has sold or not yet.The aircraft pictured above is the solid-nosed ‘Sugarland Express’ of the Scnadenavian Historic Flight, who so far as I know, intend to hold on to it.

RE: Swedish Invader
The Invader in the picture is Scandinavian Historic Flight’s example.
Are you sure you are not thinking of the dutch Invader that was sold
to the US last year.
