‘Swiss’ could leave OneWorld alliance over slots row with BA – CEO:
“Swiss” may decide to leave the OneWorld alliance including British Airways PLC because of a disagreement with BA over landing slots at London’s Heathrow Airport, Swiss CEO Pieter Bouw said on DRS radio.
He said it is possible no solution can be found since the resulting costs would be excessive either for Swiss or for BA.
Bouw said Swiss has in recent months struck deals with other OneWorld members including AMR Corp’s American Airlines, Iberia, Lineas Aereas de Espana SA, Finnair and Aer Lingus, but needs to have agreements in place with all members.
Swiss, the successor to bankrupt Swissair, said at the time of its creation that it wanted to stay a member of OneWorld.

RE: ‘Swiss’ could leave OneWorld alliance
Since Swiss was created I have been thinking that it will finish as swissair, I really prefer the old swissair, it was smarter and cooler, Swiss is cold and distant. I hate swiss. 🙂

Qualiflyer was the lamest alliance ever. Weren’t all the airlines in that all from Europe? Also, was the Austrian Group in Qualiflyer or Oneworld before they wised up and joined Star?

You’re right Greekdude, Swiss (or previously Swissair) are not part of Oneworld. I think Swissair was a founder member of the Qualifier Group along with Air France.
Like the new Swiss livery, very smart.
