I’ve taken a little bit from the Swissair past and worked with it. It appears to fit nicely on the two tricky planes (744 & MD11). I wanted it to be somber yet inventive.
Enjoy.

I am also a fan of the current colour scheme.
I’m not so keen on the squared divide between the white and grey parts of the fuselage though. I think that choosing either one or the other for the colour of the aircraft would be better, but taking such an approach would make it look incredibly similar to the current colours.

Nice try mate, but i think the current SWISS livery is one of the nicest around!
Personaly I like the last Swissair livery better.
That belly gave it a touch of sophistication. The current swiss livery stinks of cheapness. IMO

Not at all, I think that the general publci have similar reactions to colourscheme. Not everyone is capable of looking at a design for why things are done. Most people will think “Oh, That’s nice..”, “Oh, that isn’t nice” without look at any greta detail about it!
A good livery is one that you don’t have to think about 😉
It should instantly come to mind what it symbolises, if anything.

I like it quite a bit, but a dash or two of blue would be nice.

I agree, the gradient may not be the best idea. I’m still tinkering with something that would look good with the cross on the fuselage. I may have to start anew 🙂
Hey thanks for the feedback, though (even yours, Steve “the-perpetually-unpleased” Rowell :))!

Lovely idea Nasir.
If a little expensive. The moment you add a gradient to the livery the cost goes up at least 30%.
In this case… the gradient would have to be painted. A process that will take some time.
However, in saying that…. if swiss have any vision.. I could see them taking such a livery up 🙂

Nasir, what can i say, it’s a dirty color and the fuselage looks as though it’s only half finished, sorry my friend, maybe i’m just hard to please
