A great shame that this beauty has suffered severe damage, but thankfully the emergency service reports the crew are OK. This Klemm was a star visitor to one of the PFA Rallies at Cranfield back in 1983. Apparently it routed in to the UK yesterday through Southend but later this happened:

Any idea where G-AAXK is now Eric?
According to W&W 24 (I do not have 25 yet), the fuselage is with Peter Smith at Hawkinge.

Aircraft in the incident was HB-UBK. We were involved at North Weald as the Herts Air Ambulance attended the scene near South Mimms and called us to see whether it was one of our aircraft. I later spoke to the air ambiulance pilot on the phone. He confirmed that the crew were battered but walking around. They were later taken to hospital for a check. We phoned their destination at Old Warden to tell them what had happened and also Farnborough North, the ATC unit they were working when they went down.
Glad the crew are OK, shame about the aircraft, it was a pretty nice machine.

Whatever happened to the Klemm (25, I think) fuselage that used to be with the Biggin Hill museum/collection many years ago?
