Sydney Buran dosn't fly?

Based on what an eye witness told me today, it appears that the Buran OK-GLI full scale ‘functional mock-up which has been used as an attraction in Sydney harbour is being shipped out. Does anyone know if it is being shipped back to Russia? Sounds like this venture is closing early due to lack of money.

It came into Sydney by sea sometime in 2000 via Norway.It was one of 6 non-space capable, full-scale mock-ups used to test systems and flight characteristics. In this case, it made horizontal flight tests using auxillary engines so I guess this item meets the new forum rules.

In any event the NASA shuttle can still be seen occasionally on TV.
