I have to agree with everybody else’s comments on this show, so I will just say it was a very enjoyable show with good company as usual.
Well done to the organisers and partisipants. 🙂
I heard that it was 12 years since the last one, lets hope that we don’t have to wait that long for the next one.
 This was my first outing with my new camera and a lens that spent the afternoon deciding whether it wanted to work or not! My thanks to Damien and Rob for the tips and most of all their patience in answering my questions as I hadn’t got round to reading the manual. 😮

Rob/Damien, the strap you recommended, is it the Pro or Super Classic?

You could well have a dodgy 10D… I had three with focusing problems, and Robbo has had his repaired for dodgy focus. Lost count of the people I’ve spoken to who’ve had problems with the AF on the damn things.
In general it’s not too bad, just frustrating in some circumstances. I was photographing some red squirrel the other morning and it just wouldn’t focus. I put this down to the distance and the fact that the squirrels were sat amongst the branches of a tree.
That’s the last time I try to photograph a flock of egg beaters 🙂

Thanks Damien, hopefully as the saying goes “things can only get better”

Sames as yours, Ian. A 10D, straight out of the box.
I must admit at times when compared to the EOS 3 I find the focusing a bit erratic, this maybe to do with the lens that I am presently using to shoot aircraft, Sigma 300 – 500mm. The Canon 100-400 ISM is on the cards for the beginning of next year.

Y11fan, afraid not after taking a few static shots, I packed the camera away.

Thanks Ewan, I must have been given duff info about the last display. 🙁
This is the only other pic of the silver Harvard I have, as I mentioned the lens only worked when it wanted to, so some aircraft I missed totally, others just a few of and some loads.

Thanks Rob, yes I’m happy with the results, just the lens issue to resolve. Hopefully I will have a different lens in time for Duxford.
