Sywell Aviation Museum Grand Opening Easter Saturday 8th April 2023

SYWELL AVIATION MUSEUM GRAND OPENING EASTER SATURDAY 8TH APRIL 2023 1030-1630hrs

The Sywell Aviation Museum emerges from its winter hibernation for the 2023 season at its traditional Easter Saturday opening!
Our small, family friendly event has been taking place for over 2 decades and it’s all FREE!

Subject to weather and serviceability you should expect a wide variety of visiting aircraft from Warbirds to classic aircraft…
In addition there will be a large collection of military vehicles, re-enactors and visiting aircraft cockpits, a small number of trade stands (including the Museum’s bargain model kit and aviation book stall) a 1940s singer and DJ….

For more information see the link attached:

Thereafter the Museum is open each weekend and bank holiday 1030-1630 until the end of September and Tuesdays-Wednesdays from mid-May to the end of October 1200-1600hrs.

All systems go for Saturday! Remember it’s a free event with plenty of military vehicles and classic cars and re-enactors –  plus a selection of vintage aircraft flying in including the Hangar II P-51D ‘Tall in the Saddle’

On top of that there are a selection of model kit traders together with the (potentially award winning) Museum book and model stall – kits are VERY keenly priced and all military/aviation books are for sale by fair donation – there is plenty to choose from!

The Museum will of course also be open for you to inspect. The event starts at 1030 – public parking in the field over the road – disabled (blue badge) parking in the Cirrus Room car park – first come first served and is limited.

On site cafe, bar, restaurant, snack trailer  and remember it’s FREE – if you’re able to pop a donation in the Museum donations pot inside the Museum or in one of the buckets being carried by our uniformed and badged volunteers we’d be grateful

Thereafter the Museum is open each weekend and bank holiday 1030-1630hrs until the end of September – again free entry, donations appreciated and welcomed!

Hope to see some forumites there..

Hi TT2,

I sent you a PM with a picture of XD599 a couple of weeks ago, did you receive it?
