Hmmm really!
Interestingly you may or may not know that the two Mustangs and the Harvard are owned, were completley rebuilt and are operated by the same chap!

Be that as it may he, or whomever did the research for the paint work, failed to get the star and bar correct on all but “Marinell”. Being American of course these things are more apparent to me although, to be honest, I see them incorrect on many restorations right here at home as well. (And I don’t think the Chinese have ever got it right on any of the r/c model airplanes that they offer. Which may be on purpose now that I think about it!) While most folks don’t notice, and probably don’t care, as a scale modeler it is one of those things that immediately catches my eye. I imagine it is similar for you guys when somebody puts the blue of the RAF fin flash to the front.

Good to see the Breighton kites, especially the ‘Jeeves’ and ‘Janie’ at the pumps shot – I know who’s tab I’d have preferred to have picked up.

Excellent pics as usual Mr W

He also owns the wonderful Stearman which had an overhaul when it arrived at Hardwick but has yet to be fully rebuilt.

Kudos to the finishers of “Marinell” for getting the USAAF insignia correct. Nobody else in these photos did!

Nice pictures. I believe the Terrier G-ARUI is owned by Terry Dann, whom I
remember from way back when I was an ATC cadet in the 60’s
