Interesting to see ‘MTM in a different scheme… Still with us and in Orange and White and flown by the VAC’s membership secretary…

Reported to be on a strip at Norton near Daventry after leaving Sywell 27.4.05

Robert

Nope not gone to Aus. Chris wants to sell her here and was on e-bay recently. Last time I looked (about a month or so) RB was still outside on the strip next to us at Norton.

I cannot understand why she fell in to decline so quickly.
Looking at the website she seemed well cared for, and a lovely new engine fitted not that long ago.
It’s a real shame 🙁

Looks im afraid can somtimes be decieving!! As for loverly new engine? ask the bloke that had the engine failure just after it was fitted how loverly he thought it was 😮
Leave somthing like this outside over a wet British winter and you will see how quickly it will decline.
And yes it is a real shame 🙁

If only A) i had the money and B) i didnt know her mechanical history !

Bless ‘er she didnt do anyone any harm….. 🙁

As shes been resident at sywell from c.1952 to 2004, she really should return but apart from selling a kidney i dont have the cash, or the required money for an engine rebuild 😮

TT

With you there TT, she should return home. But knowing what state she is in £6000 aint in the right ball park! 😮 Leaving an old lady like this sitting outside for a winter should be against the law!!! she got blown around so much it broke a lift strut 😮 and thats without the indoor swiming pool 🙁
Apparently the owner is emergraiting to Auz, hence the confusion that she had left the country 😉

Since the old girl stopped flying she was parked outside at sywell for a good six months and I think the prop was stuck when she was put on show for the airshow 🙁 I can still hear her control surfaces flapping in the wind, wondering what she’d done wrong….

Its very sad to think that she was flying just a wee while ago….Blue Max knows more I think.

That said, i havent inspected her and have no idea what the owner has done to her since she left Sywell.

Yes indeed – the other one is quite clearly G-AGVG which is the only one I don’t have a photo of! Nice one.
