T-28's at Techatticup

There is an interesting article in this months Flypast, our sponsor, about the cache of T-28’s sitting in the desert. However it isn’t clear from the article whether the wings of the aircraft are present, it doesn’t sound as though there are any engines there either. Presumably an airfield is not nearby so any restoration work would have to be done elsewhere.

Hopefully one of our sleuths, Scorpion?, can provide some further information.

Photo’s 4, 5 and 6 seemed to show quite a few wings, Article said they were being held there and bit by bit shipping to Missouri. Can’t find a trace on the net! Did see a forum by the owner of the A/C, a John Gibson, inquiry looking for T-28 projects/parts bit it was several years old.

The hunt goes on…….
