I have just seen what I think is a T28 Fennec or Trojan prictice display in the distance.
The plane definately had square ended wings and sounded like the familiar engine noise I hear at airshows. It displayed for three or four minures doing climbs, dives, loops and rolls.
The location of the display was in a triangle betwwen Headley Down/Headley, Bramshott and Bordon in Hants at 6.35PM. The aircraft then climbed away and headed south.
The plane was too far away for me to see any details.
I know of the posibilities but I would like to know who’s plane it was?

On the 24th June (Saturday), when you originally posted, both the Duxford T.28s were on the ground. I was there. The camo one in the ARC/HFL compound and the silver one in the hanger with its engine covers off.

Withhout a picture, noone can say but what’s for sure is that 2 T-28 Fennec’s are based and airworthy in Duxford; They are Fennec #119 N14113
and Fennec #142 G-TROY.
See the story and pictures of the 148 Fennec’s built (modif) in 1960 on

I was told today that it was a T28. It took off from Duxford earlier. Explains why the display was not as tight as you would expect from a Yak 50!

…and I believe the owner of a certain T28 lives in the Guildford area.
