Had a T33 fly over my house this morning. The sun was in my eyes so I couldn’t make it out. I am assuming it was the Golden Apple aircraft, but could it possibly be the example from North Weald as a T33 over my house is a pretty rare site.

I doubt the North Weald T-33 will ever fly again. It needs a new wing. It’s original has 6 massive holes drilled through the main spar and should never have flown.

I think you might!!!!
As for the T33, I doubt the North Weald example was flying today, but miracles cold happen!!!

T-33 Nice but Blaasted whoosy whizz types. Should ha’ been in tho’ proper bit’ho Esssex thaan boy !
Late afternoon around first bell of the Dog Watch (16.30), a little breezy yes but clear and sunny, almost a “Constable Sky”, another pint of Spitfire in hand and plenty of pretty things to ‘catch the eye’ at the Anchor :diablo: ‘Lo and behold at about 1500 feet a brace of Mustangs followed by a yellow Havard heading southwards.
I am informed that a Hurricane made the opposite trip later about 19.20hrs (but by then I had succumbed to fluid intake !) 😀

As I said the sun was in my eyes and I couldn’t see the colour scheme properly.
Your picture is of the Golden Apple T33, nice pic by the way.
I was wondering if it was by a slim chance another T33.

Did it have brilliant coloured wingtips?
