Tip tanks…
Got the left tank mounted, installed the rear cone.. attempted to fit the front cone…. how the heck do you get the clamps to comply with your wishes? Is there some trick to it? I was about 1 minute from reaching for the sawzall & cutting the wings off the darn thing.
Anyone have pics from the manual?
Asked this over at WIX 3 days ago & all I got was *crickets*
& for those of you who follow this sort of thing, it’s the former Worf/Mike Dorn T33 complete with blistered paint from when the hangar next to it went up in flames some time back when it was in Bakersfield.
There are these clamps:
But the damn things won’t stay in place & access is somewhat of a comedy act… 😡
This as far as we got…

Why don’t you try the National AirForce Museum in Trenton, Ontario?
If you google the museum and go to contacts, you’ll find:
Research
Bill Nurse research@airforcemuseum.ca
There is/was a disassembled T-Bird sitting on the main floor. T-Bird maintenance manuals may also be in the archives.
The main base is right across the street from the museum, and there are lots of highly experienced T-Bird maintenance personnel in Trenton.

Probably got to fit the front cone first LOL ; )
IE – no idea but good luck with it !!
We figured out fitting the tank to the aircraft first didn’t make any difference. The first order of business was evicting all the BlackWidows from what they obviously thought was some kind of vacation spot.
