Don’t know if this has already been said, but just heard the last T4 Canberra will be landing at Coventry tommorrow to join the Altantique fleet.
Might nip up with my camera if work permits.
Cheers

It couldn’t be in the hands of a better company. Good to see.

I came a long way from Australia to RAIT 1999 and was delighted to see 3 Canberras flying. (WK128, XH168 and WJ874.)
I am glad at least one has been saved!
Congratulations Air Atlantique

To the guys at atlantic – well done! 😀
is there a lot to do to her before she starts her new life in civy street, or is it just a paper exercise?
it would be great to have a two ship canberra display next year! 🙂

Want to commend Damien on his usual hi-qual pix and, of course, all the other pic takers in this thread. Makes my efforts look feeble.
Eyes closed?
At rest at its new home.
“OK, we’ve got it. Now what?
Quite a day, historic in a way. WJ874 was crewed by Wng Cmdr Clive Mitchell (Sqn Boss) and Flt Lt Mike Leckey (pilot). By the way, I do believe Mike is one of the BoBMF Lancaster pilots.
My heartfelt thanks to the Air Atlantique crowd – top blokes all round.
🙂 🙂 😎
Another caption for picture no. 5
‘They have some great cameras on board these aircraft, I wonder if we could pinch some and swop them for ours without them noticing we could have one each!’.
‘Why is it blue, I thought they were brown?’
‘Thats so they can’t be seen from below when they fly over you’
‘Ahhh, right!’ 😉
Only jealous that I couldn’t get there today. 😮 😡
Alan.

Ref SDEV, no, not yet. She’s still at Kemble. I suspect we’ll move her over the winter some time.
More T4:

It was a pleasure to meet you today Les, and you’ve got some excellent photos there!
All that remains now is to find her an appropriate civil registration!

More to follow tomorrow, it has been a very long day here!
In typical Air Atlantique fashion, within less than a couple of hours of landing at Baginton, the T4 was put to work, as a backdrop for UK TV Style’s ‘Style Secrets’ filming….. 🙂

Now he tells me! 😉
Still, I got some reasonable ground shots my end tho’.
Was a lovely site wasn’t it?
Cheers

Your watch is slow Kev – mine said 15.10 🙂
I see from your pics you were at the wrong end of the runway – I was waiting on Rowley Road. Met a couple of other guys waiting, one the co-owner of WT333 at Bruntingthorpe the other who lights up the engines.
Made my day (make that “my week”).
Roger Smith.
I knew I shouldn’t have bought that watch from that bloke down the pub. 😀
I was on call with work so I couldn’t be more than a couple of feet away from my vehicle, hence the ‘wrong’ end.I needed somewhere to park properly. 🙁
PC world is a better place……ah well, that’s the beauty of hinsight!!
