TAILFINS!!!!!!!

Tailfins!!!!!!!
Where else on an aeroplane do they put fins? I know fish have dorsal and pectoral fins, but aeroplanes don’t, they have fins, tails or vertical stabilizers. Do aeroplanes have legwheels, nosecockpits or fuselagewings? No. One or the other not both.

Try naming all the aerodynamic “fins” on the Beech 1900D then. That thing positively bristles with them.

Aircraft have strakes all over the place (concorde had ones forward on the fuselage), they are designed to create vortices that in turn create lift, or to smooth airflow.

There are plenty of aircraft with extra fins all over the place! The Nimrod (I know miliatary), has one under the tail, and the MRA4 has little ones on their horizontal stabilisers!

I cannot think of another fin on an aeroplane, that’s why it winds me up!
I must also admit I’d had an extra glass of red wine when I wrote that:o

Good point, well made
Boeing makes a special point of giving it a special name. Boeing didn’t call it a dorsaltailfin though:D
