Down there in cheap and tacky benidorm a new hotel has been inaugurated. Nothing odd in it, only that is the tallest in Europe. More concrete to the waterfront. Bali Hotel, 210 meters tall and the first vip to sleep on it will be Elton John.

RE: Tallest hotel in Europe
About cheap tourism, lots to say. We receive all sorts of tourism, and a big porcentage not really appropiate. People with terrible behaviour, rude, ignorant, and many time despising the local way of living and who are a shame for their countries. We have something to do with that. For many years we have been promoting cheap and mass tourism: quantity and no quality….evertyhing included packages at lower prices than staying in their homes and giving almost free alcohol to the ones who come. So bad reputation for everyone. Now there are lots of problems in many touristic areas, in terms of safety, but cheap hotels have to be full and planes have to fly fully booked so, many hotel owners still doesn´t mind it. They prefer paying the effect of the ethilic intoxications than loosing money.

I was in a place called Benelmadna in the Costa Del Sol a while back, pretty nice place though totally for the tourists.Within a to streets our hotel there were two Irish pubs and a cafe selling sunday roasts and other British favourites.I find it totally disgusting that there should be anything of that sort down there,if people want British food and culture while away well they can get down to Brigton and Blackpool, your in Spain a place with a totally different culture so you should experience it!Also I noticed that there was an english holiday edition of’The Sun’ newspaper…..what imprssionother Europeans mst get of us I don’t know!

It seems to be what northern Europeans do Keltic.
They love anything that is tacky and they do not like to do anything cultural on holiday. That’s why British tourists go to pubs and have fish n’ chips on the costa del sol!
No hope for us, is there!

Never been before dear compatriot, but I have heard it´s great. On the same coast I recommend places like Calpe and Altea. Lots of nice places here, away for the mass tourism and masification. Why do tourists go the same places, eventhough not being the best ones?. Places like Benidorm, Torremolinos, Magaluf, Los Cristianos and some others, give a terrible reputation to the touristical image of the country. Spain has fantastic places.

Anyone here go on holiday to Denia?
It´s about 50 kilometers north of Benidorm, and it´s something completely different

I suppose he would have been contracted to sing somewhere in the city or invited to the official inauguration party.

Hehehe Elton John in benidorm what are the odds, thought he would be more suited to Marbella!
The architecture of the hotel is alright but it is in a horrible location, the name says it all……
