Tamron AF 16-300 mm f3.5-6.3 Di II VC PZD
Does anyone have any practical experience with this lens ?
The reviews seem pretty positive, and it would save having to keep swapping lenses.
I assume it would be OK on my D3300 ?

If you look at at the reviews (on Amazon for instance), a lot of owner seem quite happy with them.
When you look at some of the magazine reviews, they seem somewhat less impressed.
It’s all very confusing. I’m still hanging on to my money.

Thinking of the Nikkor 18-300 ,myself, anyone had experience?

I didn’t realize that Nikon do a similar lens, the Nikon AF-S DX NIKKOR 18-300mm f/3.5-6.3G ED VR Lens
I was very tempted, but I think I may stick with my Nikon 55-300mm for now. The superzoom has a lot of very good
reviews, although the photographic purists aren’t impressed.
I may just save my money, and carry on having to swap lenses.

I used the full frame version of the Tamron (28-300mm) lens, for the Northolt Night Shoot photos. I’m quite impressed with the image quality from it, don’t know what the cropped sensor version is like though.

No I hadn’t seen that, cheers
I’ve read a few reviews, and not seen two the same.

You may have already seen this. I find their reviews to be balanced and useful.

As this is a relatively new lens out, perhaps nobody here has experience of it yet ?
How about Tamron lenses in general, what do people think ?
