Tamron lens advice

I’ve recently bought a Nikon D60 and I am looking for a half decent zoom.

I realise you get what you pay for, but I’ve seen a Tamron 28-300mm zoom around the £200 mark, any thoughts or experience?

Blimey there a lot sharper than my Sigma 100-300 might be worth the upgrade.

The Tamron 28-300 is one of those lenses people often love to slate for being soft. While it isn’t as sharp as my Sigma 50-500 and certainly not as sharp as my Canon 70-200L, with good shooting and editing technique it’s more than capable of producing good results.

As a general guide as to what’s possible with this lens, here are a few images taken using it.

Hope that’s of some use!

For your tight budget and the price of £200 it will give you pretty decent images.

Plenty good enought for web use and prints out at A4 plus.
