Hi Keith , Publish the book !!!!! , I’ll have the first signed copy please!!! , and I’ve managed to put my name wrong in the details bit , i’ts Alastair George ,not vice versa , home address is :- mail@alastair-george.fsnet.co.uk , Keith is there anything of interest in the local scrapyards up there , when I was up about 7-8 years ago in the scrapyard in Elgin there was loads of Buccaneer bits and some Shackleton bits , but the place has been redeveloped now , is there anything left ????

Phil, I’ve got a similar collection, but mine starts around 1962. I’d like to do something along the same lines, but I’m better at aeroplanes than computers. My main plan at the moment is to write a book on my 40 years in a blue suit. I’ve got the basic thing together, but now I’m working away at trying to make it readable.

George, What a silly question, of course I’ve got the Tin Triangle, some taken at Leuchars the same time as the Lightning. I’ve even got the polished Metal Jav flown by Sqn Ldr GH Beaton the CO of 228 OCU. But you’ll just have to be patient. In the meantime here’s XH894 of 29 Sqn in transit through Nairobi to Ndola from Akrotiri during the Zambia Oil lift. I’ve posted this before, but you probably missed it!

Thanks Keithmac (or is just Keith), I am (or was until my scanner went pearshaped) working through my large slide library and cataloging all the better material with a view to lauching a web site containing galeries by type.This is taking some time as you can imagine as i have some 10,000 ish slides and am probably only 20% of my way through them.I am yet to sort out a web provider and page design. I am aiming to do the design myself, albeit with little experience.
The aim of this is to promote my aviation photography and hopefully make some sales as well to help perpetuate the habit.
I have had to realign the timescale for this, i had ambitiously set this summer to launch but realistically it will be more like early next spring.
However the first task is to get some technical support for my scanner, its a software recognision problem rather than hardware.

Hi Phil, If you or anyone else for that matter, would like copies of anything I post, just let me know. I can produce inkjet prints up to A4 size. I’m not looking to earn cash here, just enough to cover my costs. I’ll even consider swaps if you’ve got things I would like.
