I had the pleasure of doing some PR shots with Aerosuperbatics a few weeks back to capture their new manouver for 2008, and also do some general shots for them at the same time. I have posted some of the general shots on the photo forum, but the news item follows:
The Guinot Goose
This coming season will see The Worlds Only Formation Wingwalking Team, Team Guinot, unveiling their incredible new move whilst soaring above the UK and international airshow crowds!
Affectionately named the Guinot Goose after its creator professional wingwalker Lucy Foster, the team have been working hard over the training period to perfect their dare devil move which sees the wingwalkers sitting on the leading edge of the top wing directly above the propeller!
Lucy foster (known by her team mates as Goose) explained how the move sees the wingwalkers climb from the open cockpit onto the top wing where they gracefully arrange themselves to a seating position. The wingwalkers sit with their right leg placed over the he edge of the wing above the propeller, and their left foot hooking onto one of the struts!
“Once perched on the leading edge and balanced into position you can let go with both hands! It feels incredible; you can see for miles and are as free as a bird!” said Lucy.
“We cannot wait to unveil the ‘Guinot Goose’ to everyone; we are so excited about seeing the response it gets.”
The Guinot Goose requires immense strength and agility from the Glamorous wingwalkers showing people just why they flying so high!

Had chance to speak to the pilots last year at ELVINGTON one of the talented chaps is an EX RED ARROW…………..But both of them were really friendly and more than willing to spend time speking to us…..made the show that bit more special…………….a great team;)

Phew, thank heaven for that.
I thought the manoeuvre was maybe something involving the pilot leaving his seat in flight! 😀
