Alan,

Thanks for the confirmation the 5mm diameter stuff is what I am after.  I have previously come across Teleflex cable closer to 7mm which is not compatible with British wartime equipment.  If the cable is available can you drop me an e-mail?

Regards,

Tim

can you confirm the approx diameter of the cable?

5mm as best I can tell.   This would seem to be the standard size for all the equipment in my first picture but maybe there were other sizes depending upon requirements?

Speaking of my first picture, here’s a bit I left out.  This one measures approx. 9″ overall.  I think I showed this on the “Treasures” thread, hoping that someone would recognize it.  I suppose it’s worth another shot!

Thanks for the info AM. No match for the Vampire.

Buckingham! I wondered if the list of AM numbers that people had created on this forum is pinned but it is not. I bet I would have found it there.

The number you can just make out on the body of the unit is C13366, the Stores Ref. on the label is 26EZ/56* where * is too worn to make out properly.

26EZ is Bristol Buckingham!

Some of the Teleflex parts on Vampire…

B16658, B21859, C16660 – these are similar to the one in the snapshot. There is also a right-angle box for the drop-tank jettison (B26881).

Figured I might as well throw the question out there while we are looking for teleflex units – does anyone have any of these parts?

Sorry tomahawk21 for hijacking your thread!

Hi AM.

I am wondering about the screen grab I posted from yours – is there a Teleflex number on the tag or one of the numbers I provided on the part itself? Maybe the 26EZ/ number in full might enable some other forum user to identify the Teleflex p/n?

Having looked at the added photos of the lever arm unit, I can see that it is not Vampire.

Thanks.

Hi Tim,

Two types of cable:-

27K/940 Cable and Rod No. 2,  2′ 6″  O/A, Pt. No. B.15001

27K/587  Cable and Break Rod Assy,  Pt. No. C.35250.  The cable on this one is approx. 8-9′.

Hi Nicko,

Thanks for your message – am I now waiting for you to check your needs and get back to me or is something else required of me?

Cheers

A.M. – Thank you for the additional images, unfortunately it is not quite what I am after.  However I would be very interested in any cable or conduit you may have.

A Forum member has requested more photos of this type of Teleflex lever.  The overall length is about  6.5″ – 7″, depending on which way you measure it.

Hope this helps.

All the packages have 27K Stores Refs., some are dated early ’50s, others 1980.

Apologies for the delay NQS,

I’ve now had a chance to pull together my Teleflex parts and cannot see anything like the stuff you are after.

Here’s a selection of what I’ve got lest anyone is looking for it.  Multiples of these items and a few cable assemblies too.

Re NQS “Could it be a C3078?”, it looks like C5078 to me and it matches all that tomahawk21 started with – part-number, arrangement (and I think size) and advice.

On a different tangent is there a supplier that still sells parts as I need some parts to complete a Spitfire cockpit.
