From digging a bit more, you will be going to a local community centre or hotel to sign in, be searched and then travel by bus to the terminal.

Ive applied for two October dates and am on the short list.

i’m also on the shortlist for the october dates.

I still don’t understand how it is any different from the normal day to day operations of all the other terminals.

Apart from the fact that the number of people in T5 “standing around” during the trials is going to be far less than the number of people “standing around” on the first day of normal operations?

I highly doubt they’ll be letting us all run amok through the buildings with no supervision or police oversight!

I’m merely talking about the decision to do this so soon after the GLA event in PR terms… Not the actual mechanics of the operation… that’s all… honest…:D

Nope, I’m questioning BAA’s wisdom in publicly inviting a large group of people to participate in an exercise in standing in the same place, so soon after the GLA attack… Maybe Al Qaeda like dress rehearsals too ?

You mean like they do every other day of the year with four busy operational terminals?

I have to say that given the recent event at GLA, should BAA be encouraging large crowds of general public to turn up en masse ?

Anyone know if Concorde G-BOAB is scheduled to feature in or outside of T5 ???

Not inside certainly. Outside, perhaps. If they can find somewhere sensible to put her once everything is up and running.

I’ve had an application in for every trial for some time now, we won’t get a confirmation until 10 days before though, so won’t know for a few more weeks/months.

Anyone interested?

Hell Yeah! Known about it for a while – only work commitments make it a little a hard to go to.
