terrible situation

OK, I’m in about the biggest trouble I had so far.

Yesterday, I was complaining on our students forum about a our manual arts. Normally, professors don’t visit students site, so I thought I’d be safe. Unfortunatelly, one guy emailed the professor my complaints (in a umm informal way) 😮 😮 😮 😮 😮 😮 😮 and tomorrow, I have to meet this man for my oral exam. This is about the worst nightmare anyone could imagine during exams. I used my name (ben) and there are only 10 students who still have the exam, so he’ll pick me out. 😮 😮 😮

AAAAAAAAAArrrrgggggggg

So here’s my question. How long does it take to change my identity?

It ended well, but he looked kinda strange. And he asked me some extra tough questions. But he was fair, and I would probably just do the same.

Thought that being sort of anonymous made sense when on forums like these…
How do you know that the email was sent – has he mentioned it? Or do you believe the chap who says he sent it? – Nermal

Oral exams are not recorded in Belgium… If a professor hates you, he has free hands to down you in flames… Of course you can ask to have a 2nd exam, with witnesses if I’m not mistaken. But usually his colleagues will be on his side…

I think that indeed, the best thing to do is to defend your opinion. Calmly and, if possible, respectfully.

Doesn’t matter. He has to be professional and do his job. Is he marking you or just taking the exam? They’re are usually recorded here in the UK, and I imagine that’s the same where you are.

I dont see what you have to worry about. If the oral exam is important and he fails you then ask for a remark, and if they decline take them to court if you want. And if the oral exam isnt important then dont worry if you do badly, because it isnt important!
If you arent worried that he will fail you and you are worried he will confront you with the issue; stand by what you have said – without loosing your temper. Bite your tongue if you have to, but remember, he has more authority than you, so if you keep calm and explain why you think this and that then who knows, he may agree with you!
