Terry Jones

It is with regret that I have to announce the passing of Terry Jones, aero-engine historian and BAPC member from Carlisle.
Terry passed away on Friday 1st August, peacefully at home.
The funeral will take place at Carlisle Crematorium on Friday August 8th at 1:00pm, everyone is welcome.

Terry will be most remembered for his complete rebuild of a Rolls-Royce W2B23 “Welland” engine to running order, making it the oldest running jet engine in the world, but equally, the large archive of information he gathered, both covering that particular engine, and the subject of the dawn of the jet age in general.
