TFC has released it’s first list of bookings. Interestingly the Hurricane is listed, which either means their Mk IV from Hawker Restorations will be airworthy in time, or they are operating their ex Mk XII from HAC.

Interesting to see all the Cats at Brands Hatch… 🙂

Ant – It’s the City Airport Funday on 5th July. It includes a varied flying display mainly featuring warbirds and aerobatic aircraft. I’m planning on going for the first time this year.
To give you a flavour, last year’s event featured such items as:
Rob Davies’ P51 and Havard
Carolyn Grace in her Spitfire
James Pittock’s Me108
Tom Moloney’s Strikemaster
Utterly Butterlys
Turbulent Team
Pete Kynsey’s Cosmic Wind
Richard Pickin’s Cap 232
Anna Walker’s Jungmann
Tony Richard’s Pitts Special
plus a couple of para. teams
I believe there is also a model aircraft display from the Thamesmead Model Club.

To be fair the policy has always existed at Hawkers, although sometimes enforced more. There are some lovely projects underway there at the moment which will be show in the future I’m sure. At least one customer there has insisted that no pictures be released of his aircraft.

For whatever reason, there’s a hell of alot of secrecy surrounding the rebuild of TFC’s Mk.IV Hurri.A certain photographer from this forum went down to Hawker Restorations recently, and although he was allowed to take pics of various projects,he was asked not to make them public in any way,so there are few if any photo’s of the progress of thier projects.Rumour has it that TFC’s example is nearing completion,so display dates in June seem a real possibility.
Btw,does anybody know what will be happening at London city airport on the 5th of July?
