TFC Sea Fury

Does naybody know the status of the TFc Sea Fury – it seems a long time now since the restoration started.

Can’t wait to see here fly – esp in formation with the RNHF example. I can’t say I can remember seeing 2 FAA marked single sea Fury’s flying for many many years in UK.

So Janie, if you were to land at a show and all the crowd were to breathe out (or in) at the same time the the Emeraude would be out of limits then?

It’s got a vicious enough swing already – 7kt crosswind limit. I can do a full AOPA aerobatic routine just on the landing. The CAA are bound to insist that I get a DA just for landing sooner or later. It makes landing the LA9 look easy!

Hey Warbird, don’t you mean radial? come to think of it an emeraude with a rotary would probably have a worse swing than a Griffon engined spitfire

With the funnies that have been appearing lateky in some of the threads Historic military aviation forum looks like becoming Hysterical aviation

Aren’t Sea Furies supposed to have R-3350s? Oh, wait, I’m confused aren’t I? Living in the US one begins to wonder if Sea Furies ever really had Bristols fitted! Speaking of which, has anyone seen the Sanders two seater out and about lately? Seems like years since I’ve heard a report of that one appearing anywhere.

You’re all wrong that is the power plant for when I convert my Citroen Saxo to rear wheel drive:D Bloody hell that engine is nearly as big as my car and probably weighs quite a bit more

That could be amusing, are you taking the Emeraude to Reno next year then? I guess you will be bolting some girders on to the aircraft to stop it twisting itself to bits 😀

Howie and Chas Fan Club

I can honestly say I have nothing against them ( Its not nice to start rumours like that;) )
I’m certain that they are both fine upstanding pilots I just look forward to seeing them on the show circuit together
