It wears a blue overall colour with a red spinner and has the roundals from each country that operated it on the wings and fuselage.

Thanks I don’t know whether I’ve ever seen John Bradshaws Sea Fury. What markings does it wear?

The Hawker Fury is still based at Kemble and available for sale as far as I know.

I believe the RNHF have sorted out the minor problems that have dogged the Firefly.
It, along with Stringbag I W5856 will shortly be emerging from their winter maintenance schedules to get ready for the season.

Hope this helps.

I think John Bradshaws is still at Kemble and airworthy but has not been dispalyed for sometime. It was up for sale but i’ve never heard of it being sold.

Are there any Sea Furies airworthy in the Uk at the moment? After the sad loss of Paul Morgan’s and with the Royal navy historic flight’s one still being worked on. I really miss the sound of the Bristol Centaurus. Also does anybody know if the firefly is anywhere near ready to fly again?

I’d say Legends is highly unlikely, far too much work left to do, and then they’d have to go through the flight testing phase. Given the aircraft’s complexity, I’d say even Legends 2004 is optimistic. Better to take their time and get it right than rush it and run the risk of it all going pear shaped.

By the way, another shot of her for comparison, taken about a month ago.

The RNHF machine’s Centaurus is currently in the final stages of reassembly, and it is hoped to have it plumbed up in time for the latter half of the season.

The RNHF Sea Hawk is booked for Kemble’s Classic Jet airshow serviceability permitting.
