TFS-NCL Jet2

Route: Tenerife South – Newcastle
Seat: 9A
Aircraft: JET2 757 G-LSAA “Tenerife”
Departure time: 21:40

Arrived at TFS Airport by taxi early evening around 7pm on Friday evening.
I noticed an expansion of a new terminal under way at TFS doesn’t suprise me really, however TFS needs a 2nd runway desperatley.
Arrived in a very spacious terminal and down to check in desk 80 where there was a very large Q. Took about half an hour to get checked in, they always take ages in Spanish Airports anyway. Made way through security, then to the departures area and saw a large range of charter aircraft, TOM 752, 763, MYT 763 a few Monarch A321’s and much to my suprise a BA 737-800 on lease from XL. Eating and drinking very expensive at TFS, 17 euros for 1 ribenna, 2 coffees and a toblerone, must be having a laugh.
Saw my JET2 757 land around 20:40 and after half an hour it was time to board. We were coached to a remote stand and this time i saw 757
G-LSAA “Tenerife” operating our flight.
On boarding i noticed this wasn’t as nice as G-LSAC, it was 4 years older built in 1988 and had no air con.
After around 20 minutes we made our taxi to runway 8 for our 21:40 departure following the other JET2 757 which was heading to LBA.
Our take off was fairly powerful and extremley noisy with the RR’s giving a very large hummm, they reduced power however the RR hummm was noticable for a large amount of time.
I made myself comfertable and listened to my MP3 player, some good old classic house Baby D “Let me be your fantasy”, and had myself a Ploughmans sandwich in the meal deal. I then managed to nod off to sleep after 2 hours of listening to music and reading magazine and then waking up around 20 minutes before landing. Approach into NCL was very fast and i thought we were heading into the sea when the aircraft made a sharp turn and levelled itself up to runway 25.
Landing was quite rough however not much reverse needed as NCL have a fairly long runway. We then made our way to the remote stand where we were bussed to the terminal then collected our luggage which seemed to take ages. Overall another great JET2 flight and a brilliant holiday ended in good style.

Overall rating.

Cabin crew 9/10 (Little more bubbly on the return)
Comfort 8/10 (Leather seats but no air con this time)
My Meal deal 7/10 (The sandwich wasn’t brilliant, ive had better from ASDA)
Value for money 10/10 (My dad paid ha)

Not much to see of a night-time.

Best time to see NCL full of aircraft is between 5am and 7am all stands have an aircraft on them 8 757s in awswell.
