Read in VGC News that the TG-3A WW2 glider from Duxford is available to a new home. Sad to see it (possibly) leave…

I think it would look nice alongside the Hotspur at Middle Wallop. I could ask the currator, but I fear I already know what her answer will be. 🙁

Should be returned to the donor… Disgusting, .
Perhaps before getting on your high horse you might consider that the original owner doesn’t want it back…

Still there, in storage next to the Firefly (same hangar as the HE111 IIRC)
No where near the Firefly 😀

Said glider earlier in the year.

Did the Mil-24 leave Duxford or go into storage ? A photograph was taken earlier this year of it semi dismantled.

Should be returned to the donor… Disgusting, we had an old chap donate a running club prop he had for years as he felt it should be seen, it was put in a classroom never to be seen, he popped in one day to see it and I felt for the guy.. shortly after an instructor took it home to “refurb” it, I tried to repeatly get it back then the school folded………. Left a foul taste in my mouth, I would have tried like hell to get it placed where it was appreciated or tried return it to him.

Im not surprised, last time i saw it it had been tucked away. It’s a shame for the people who gave it to the IWM.
