That doesn't look right…

With everyone becoming agitated over he LCA, the F-22, or some other topic, I think it’s time for something completely frivolous 😀

We’ve all seen our fair share of aircraft, be it in the flesh or in photographs. There is something to be said for an aesthetically pleasing aircraft, from a purely visual point of view. With that in mind, I’m sure we’ve all seen aircraft that just “didn’t look right”. I don’t mean something that is an obvious aerodynamic error or other technical issue, I mean something that just aesthetically doesn’t look right when you see the aircraft.

I’ll give you my personal favorite in this category: the J-10’s radome. Every time I see the jet I always have the same thought: the radome looks too short! This has absolutely nothing to do with any aerodynamic reason or technical specification. It’d be far more pleasing to look at, certainly with sleeker lines, had the radome been lengthened. For some reason, to me, the J-10’s nose just doesn’t look right.
