Fancy doing something fun at the end of May?
How about competing in the 50th Jersey International Air Rally!
It is the 50th year of this Rally and the club are looking for 50 non-Jersey aircraft to take part. Especially if they travel from Europe or further afield, longest trip to get there wins a trophy.
The dates are Friday 28th to Sunday 30th May;
Friday is the competition day;
Treasure Hunt over Northern France, timed stages, spot landing, safety competition, highest scoring first time entry, plus others.
Landing and parking fees in Jersey.
Welcome drink & buffet lunch at the Jersey Aero Club.
Followed by a welcome dinner at the Pomme d’Or Hotel.
Night in the Pomme d’Or Hotel.
Saturday morning, car treasure hunt followed by vin d’honneur and lunch at the Jersey Aero Club.
Saturday afternoon, free to ‘VAT FREE’ shop.
Saturday evening, Dinner Dance at the Pomme d’Or Hotel including the prize giving. A handcrafted plaque for each pilot in command.
Second night in the Pomme d’Or Hotel.
Sunday return home or, if you wish, an optional lunch at Lessay in Normandy. You can return to your home or back to Jersey for a free night in the Pomme d’Or Hotel.
All this for only £190 per person (based on 2 sharing a double room).

Jersey Rally
Please give my best wishes to John Such. I was a participant in the first Jersey Rally back in 1954 in a non-radio Miles Messenger and in 1971 I became CFI there for Eighteen months. Unfortunately I have been grounded medically, but I have some fond memories of botrh the first rally and the 172 one.

I will see you their, I wont have my licence by then but im going to stick your post on the flying club board.

We have pleanty of adventure flyers, always off to spain in their Senecas or France in their Arrows.
