The action this Christmas is on Mars

Mars exploration is going into overdrive with an armada of spacecraft on their way to Mars for a Christmas 2003 arrival.

The US has two lander vehicles designed to look for signs of water on the way.

Europe has a mineral mapping orbiter with British lander on board designed to look for life (all launched on a Russain Soyuz-Fregat rocket)

Japan has an orbiter on the way as well.

This could all add up to be some of the most exciting space exploration since the moon landings (before I was born). I’m really looking forward to it all. I hope everybody here is as well.

Anyone want to place bets on signs of life/water/minerals etc.
