Look, can’t we just stop invading all these countries and encourage the locals to stay in their own, please?
Perhaps it would be cheaper to just give them money as an insentive.

Yup I- walked into that, didn’t I?;) But since you asked, a nice apartment in Nice would do for now and I’ll move on to New Zealand after a year or two!!:eagerness:
New Zealand are fussy who they have in LOL XX :).
This is beginning to sound like the Gurkha scandal again.

Just look at the dregs we have already let in.
.
What about the dregs already here, the ones born here? Where can we send them?

Just look at the dregs we have already let in.
I’m not against letting people live here just concerned that every foreign endevour we get involved in ultimately fails and then as a country we are burdened with the people from that country. The good, the bad, the indifferent, the terrorists, criminals.
The Gurkhas, the Australians, the Indians, the French, the Belgians, the Dutch, the Norwegians, the Falkland Islanders et al; of course we should have left them to the ministrations of Hitler, Tojo and Galtieri. What were we thinking of?

The whole point of the war in Afghanistan was to bring peace and stability.
If we are admitting those that have helped the British Army are at risk then by definition we are admitting failure.
So how many people are at risk?
2000 + families, say 6000. Then the cooks, admin clerks, dog turd sweepers. In fact anyone who can cadge a free ticket here, will.
Just look at the dregs we have already let in.

We happen to be in a recession and broke btw.

I don’t think most people realise the reprisels that they will suffer in the hands of the taliban.
We can’t get rid of the taliban before we pullout, the taliban are there to stay. Wasn’t that was the idea to get rid of them when we went in?
What do think will happen to them if they stay there?
Let me guess, the whole family will be killed as an example not co-operatete.
Without the interpreters more British lives would have been lost.

I agree with you Tony but I see no reason for the guy who sweeps up the dog t urds outside the British Embassy car park to be allowed in with his wives and children.
By: TonyT - 22nd May 2013 at 19:21
Totally agree with you Edgar, it should have been done ages ago, I am totally against the flood of immigration we have, but these guys put not only their lives on the line, but those of their families to help us, and to cast them off when we pull out would be signing their death sentences.. Finally sense has prevailed and they will be offered safety..
You have to also remember that if we didnt offer safety to those that risked their lives for us, then the next war the swivel eyed loons gets us into we would be up sh*t street without support, as who in their right minds would aid British troops knowing their reward would only be certain death at the end of it.

Yes, why don’t we just use them, then abandon them to their fate, after all we have a good record of doing that, even with our own forces. Why, if we leave them in their own country, we won’t even have the expense of their funerals to worry about.
Truly, at times, I wonder at the utter callousness of some people.
