The 'bad' guys

A few photos of some of the aircraft that have played the enemy at airshows.

Starting with what I think was the Charles Church P-2. Anyone supply the reggie?

Here’s a WAR ‘190, which I believe is now down at North Weald?

Steve Young reckoned it should have been donated to him, since it was registered G-SYFW – Steve Young’s Focke-Wulf! 😀

Whatever happened to the ‘polystyrene’ FW-190, that I recall and photographed flying low over the crowd at Wethersfield about 20 years ago,

I saw a WAR FW-190 in the Ultimate High Hangar at Kemble last week.

Interesting, have loads of piccies of the Hun through the ages but all on slides including Robs Lamploughs first dodgy flight in what I assume to be G-HUNN at DX many years ago. Best sequence is a vid of Black 6 and Hans Dittes flying with the BBMF at North Weald, also a Junkers 52 firing off a gas gun from the top gunners position, surrounded by Pilatuses and Me108’s at NW.

Chris – it was a freebie from Flypast way back then (or was it 95?). As such I’m not sure if it will be still available, without trying e(vil)Bay?

I’m pretty sure it was all three, but I haven’t watched the video in a while (it was the Spitfire Airshowvideo that came out in 1996)

Any idea where i can get this video? is it still available!?

Just dragging this old thread up again, having unearthed a pic on airliners.net of Hispano Buchon G-HUNN (although the blurb cites it as being N109ME, which it isn’t if the date/location is correct).

http://www.airliners.net/open.file/919435/L/

This one is, of course, now in the States as N109GU.

Below is N109ME, part of the Oklahoma wing of the CAF (taken from their website at: http://www.contrails.us/~oklahoma_wing/)

Arghh.! I’m being attacked by a scale Heinkel in a tent!

(Thinks. Is this a variant of ‘Attack of the 50ft Woman’?)

Interesting last shot there, JDK!

It could have been restored – not all of the models were disposed of after filming. I myself have seen a Heinkel from the film, strung from the hangar roof in the old Blue Max Museum.

IIRC the models were about 1/8th scale (say 55″ for a Spitfire).

And a small bad guy. Christie’s Auction, Duxford, many years ago. It was supposed to be a BoB Film model, except those were mostly burnt on Malta (where the filming was done) and it’s not quite the right scheme. Anyone?

Should this be in ‘The Bad guys’? Or in the Sea Fury thread?

The one and only Sea Wulf, or Focke Fury.
