Whats the nearest tube station? I will go next week and pay my respect.
The monument is about 5/10 minutes walk from Waterloo Station. Head for the London Eye, walk to Westminster Bridge, cross it, then down Victoria Embankment. There are quite a few tube stations within walking distance of the monument, but the nearest 2 are Embankment, obviously along Embankment Place, and even nearer than that, Westminster, situated on Bridge Street (Westminster Bridge).
Have a good time in London, so close to Christmas!

If someone can pass me the location i will be in london next week and will stop pff there to pay my respects, im also going to the science museam and hendon.
Hi Ollie, The site is located on the Victoria Embankment (north side of the river Thames) between the RAF memorial (the one with the big eagle wings) and Westminster bridge / Big Ben. It is opposite the London Eye (“The wheel”).
Cheers Rob….

Request
Would it be at all possible for some one who next visits the BoB wall of Rememberance to post a photo of the plaques dedicated to the pilots who lost their life during the battle.
I ask, because I sponsered F/Lt Stewart C Walsh, whose family home my father bought in the late Fifties. There is also a photo of him and his service medals in the RAAF Assoc HQ here in Hobart.
Many thanks in advance.
