The BBMF and Radio Amateurs

As a licenced radio ham,and a follower of the BBMF,I am aware that they transmit on the VHF band,at about 120mhz,or thereabouts.

But,does anyone know if any of the crew are also radio hams,as it would be nice to have a chat with them while they were about to go airborne,either via a repeater,or on simplex.

Now I know that the BR68 document issued by Ofcom forbids any aeronautical transmission by a radio ham,but there is no reason why the crew can’t do it while on terra firma,before they take off.(If they had time of course.)
