Mark12 mentioned recently that the boo… volume II was being published around Flying Legends.
That has now finished, what about the boo…?
Very much looking forward to it.

Received my copy of volume 2 this afternoon and what a great piece of work this is.
And it was signed by all three authors.
Thanks chaps for providing such a high quality reference work.
Cheers

Are the books sent with Royal Mail, we had a courier attempt to deliver something today just wondered if it could be the book.

I know this is more about Volume 2 than Volume 1, but I’ve just received my copy of the first one, and….
Fantastic work.
I’ve only had a wee flip-through of it so far, but I really cannot wait to get properly stuck into it! 🙂

Peter, try using www.parcel2go.com ; you will get some better deals than the post office, and they will collect if required, and it is signed for. They aren’t so good for lighter parcels under a kilo or so, but are much, much better for the bigger stuff.

Agreed, I use parcel2go for all my large parcels and they tend to be significantly cheaper that the RM!
There is usually the option to have your parcel collected or for a slightly cheaper cost, you take your parcel to a local collection point, usually a convenience store and I have never had any problems with damaged/lost goods!

Yes, it does to me as well.

“…a bit steep”.
For a book that weighs in at 5 lbs, £20.00 to air parcel to the US sounds like a bargain to me. 🙂
I posted one to an old school chum in the UK yesterday, 2nd class surface mail, 3-5 working days delivery and signed for, and it cost £14.45.

Seems like a good value…but £20.00 postage to North America is a bit steep.

Still haven’t got Volume 1 yet :o, but I suppose I’ll have to give in and get them both now Volume 2 is out.
Just one minor thing (pedant mode on) regarding the website main homepage.
The sound played is from a P-51 and not a Spitfire! (pedant mode off) 😉
Cheers

Just look at the picture in post # 18 J Boyle. And no, you can’t get it from Amazon.

For those of us not in “the KNOW”…what’s the title of the blasted thing? Is it on Amazon?

I’ve only just ordered volume 1, so volume 2 will have to wait for now!
By: timuss - 5th August 2013 at 22:02
Patiently waiting for my copy to arrive:D

Bought my copy at FL. Shame that there won’t be a vol. 3 🙂
By: Bruce - 5th August 2013 at 18:55
Just ordered a copy; I know I have a little wait for it, but there’s no rush.
I’m grateful to the three authors for finding a way to get all the information published and into the public domain; it couldn’t have happened with a mainstream publisher.

Well I can honestly say to those of you still waiting, when it arrives you will not be disappointed. Mine arrived last week and I’m very pleased with it.

Is it possible that any orders from overseas can get their copies signed by the three authors?
By: Mark12 - 29th July 2013 at 06:50
Reference post #15
I think you will find that ‘The Aviation Book Shop’ placed a substantial advance order for Vol.II of the ‘Boo’ some time back with a contractual agreement that the three authors be available to sign copies at Saturday Legends from 09:00 – 13:00.
The boos became available from the printers in Peterborough p.m. on the Thursday before Legends..a close shave.
Although I haven’t seen it, I gather Vol. II is ‘Boo of the Month’ for September 2013 in another well known UK aviation journal.

I have to admit I am more than a little disappointed that the pre ordered (and paid for) copies took a back seat to people simply walking up to a stall a month later and buying a copy. I suppose I just need to learn the art of patience.
