Can’t even say ‘Two Jags’

If anybody is desperate to see a Jag fly (I WAS going to say you must be desperate to want to see a Jag fly but now i am a KOS i am too polite!!):diablo:
It is entirely possible that at least one will continue flying from an MOD airfield ”somewhere near Salisbury” 😉 for the rest of this year at least.
I don’t know if it is pencilled in for an airshow static appearance or not.

The paint job looked fantastic guys and I agree with the earlier poster that it should go to a museum…is it going to the training school? or into the ”collapsed Hangar” !! as Russ S eloquently put it a while back(couldn’t have said it better myself) .

re

It’d be aweful if all the hard work getting her looking so good was wasted by hiding her away at Cosford and letting her be mauled by new trainees, she deserves to be in a museum for sure!

compared to the rather dull example at duxford, this one would be a real eye opener in any museum.

Sweet scheme..

Now that would have scared the hell out of any other aircraft at a Tiger Meet.Hope some good comes out of it and that something is done to preserve them.I bl00dy hope that the lessons of the past are not repeated.Good luck guys and congrats to the guys on working on such a great paint job.

On Tuesday……………

I will miss it as I’m going to get the Jag Bash Booklets from Northolt…:(

Damien,

Are you really telling us that XX119 landed so fuel critical that it had to turn off early? Come on… I dont think so! (at least i hope not!)

1 hr 30 mins in a Jag at lowish level hurts the fuel (even at low speeds with the Herc filming). The boss would have been bingo….Especially as he took off with Total only………..

There was one big traffic jam behind……..

I agree with Canopener Al today was magic:D But to end on a sour note why did XX119 turn off early into the HAS area and not follow the two Jaguars to the end of the runway, and the small group of enthusiasts waiting there !!!! We dont all get invites to stand on top of tall ladders and take photos ‘on base’. And before you ask I dont have a ticket for next Friday:mad:

They will not go to Waddo or any other airshow..

Sorry all, not our doing…

A designers dream

I started on designing a scheme 6 months ago. The boss had another idea and I incorporated both ideas into one. It was a fight to get it approved and to get it painted.

Thanks go to

the other magazine company that sponsored us (sorry, not a pitch)

Jaguar Cars through Dave, Joe and Gary (Joe especially for modding the design to incorprate the wings) for helping to paint it.

All the painters at Coningsby (Nige, Andy and all) who worked their guts out and now have to face the furture ripped of their jobs by what I would say is another unthought and unwise decision…..

6 months…. Jamie Hunters air to airs are stunning… Unfortunately we must wait for those….

I have been fortunate to have played a major part co-ordinating XX119 and XX725. Today was magic……..:D
