Hi all,
There’s been an interesting development at Coventry Airport, which seems to have passed un-noticed on these boards. Earlier this week saw the launch of a new charitable trust, to keep some of what was the Classic Flight collection flying and in the UK for many years to come.
Its known as “The Classic Aircraft Trust” –
Article from the Coventry Telegraph
And I’m told this is the website…

Early days, but I hear good things already.
Regards,
Rich

You forget that billions have been wasted on education, they can get GCSE now for reading HEAT magazine, as per the Daily Wail.
Even the teechers carnt spell or talk proper like.

Are they employing people from far flung Klingon colonies to write this stuff?
Coventry is a VERY cosmopolitan city !!

The plane has the world’s oldest twin engine and there are only five left of the planes remaining.
So of the five *planes* remaining, there are only 5 of the 5 left?
The “The plane has the world’s oldest twin engine” doesn’t make any sense at all. Are they employing people from far flung Klingon colonies to write this stuff?

How does this tie in with the club that was formed some years ago in which folk were asked to contribute towards the upkeep of an individual aircraft?
See Classic Flight Club element of same site.

That C.E.T article is about as badly written as can be imagined.
I’m glad/sad [make your choice] to see that some things haven’t changed since I lived in that city!

There are a few howlers in there, but its a newspaper so it is expected to a degree….
Thankfully the Trust’s website looks really well written and informative.
