Hello
For the last three or four weeks now, I have been typing away (until the early hours), writing a 45,000 word book about Me and RAF Driffield. The Death of an Aerodrome is a FREE eBook (downloadable using the link below).
http://www.driffieldaerodrome.co.uk/ebook/ebook.pdf
Please feel free to forward my FREE eBook to your family, friends and colleagues.
Please let me know what you think? Me thinks that it might be a little too dry for some readers. I spent the last few days looking for spelling mistakes and suspect grammar. That said, if you do find anything dodgy, please email me. Also, what do you think about the format (9in x 6in PDF document)? I know that some people donโt consider PDF to be a proper eBook format, but itโs what I know.
Best Wishes

Thanks Phillip, I’ve scanned through and will read it fully soon.
I live close to RAF Laarbruch (where I served) so I can relate to your feelings.

Excellent work Phillip!
I didn’t read every word of it but It is a very good read and really hits home just how sad the preservation efforts of our airfields really are. The all mighty dollar outweighs the historical aspect of these large areas of land!

No problem for me, I have downloaded and printed it, and look forward to reading it, probably tomorrow, as I am still working on my latest translation. However I have as I said in my E-mail to you, I have found a couple of mistakes already.
Best regards,
Papa Lima

Thanks Phillip
I’d be interested to see more on the attack on Driffield – very interesting stuff – especially the German accounts. Are there many pictures of the aftermarth of the attack?

It downloaded okay for me and in the pdf format it displays fine. The first few pages look good and I am tempted to read more but I’m supposed to be doing some work!
